failure...

have you ever thought yourself a failure?  i am sure we all have at some point in our lives.
do we lean on God to help us through those difficult times? or do we lean on our family and friends?
i'm not saying we shouldn't discuss our feelings, dreams, failures, etc with our close ones...
on the contrary...we need to talk and let things out! because we are human...and being human, emotion drives us.
but God has another plan for us.  He wants to be our EVERYTHING! the ONE who we go to with ALL of our fears, failures, difficulties, as well as our hopes, dreams, successes.
He loves us no matter what...without FAIL!

i found this in a book by the Reverend Dr. Robert H. Schuller...it really drives home the point that God will be there for us whenever and wherever we need Him ... and beyond!

when it looks like i have failed i ask,
"Lord, what are You trying to tell me?"
failure doesn't mean i'm a failure.
it does mean i haven't succeeded yet!
failure doesn't mean i have accomplished nothing.
it does mean i have learned something!
failure doesn't mean i have been a fool.
it does mean i had enough faith to try!
failure doesn't mean i have been disgraced.
it does mean i dared to adventure!
failure doesn't mean i don't have it.
it does mean i have to do something in a different way.
failure doesn't mean i am inferior.
it does mean i am not perfect!
failure doesn't mean i've wasted my life.
it does mean i have an excuse to start over again!
failure doesn't mean i should give up.
it does mean i must try harder!
failure doesn't mean i'll never make it.
it does mean i need more patience!
failure doesn't mean You have abandoned me, God.
it does mean YOU MUST HAVE A BETTER IDEA!

"in everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Proverbs 3:6 (LB)
