finally!
getting back on track...
school is back in session, and i am back to training at Challenge by Choice.
my clean eating regime back on track as well.
i'm also getting back to Bible study, which i have missed immensely!
this year i will be co-leading a small group at my church for the study. we will be doing "Stepping Up, a journey through the Psalms of Ascent" by Beth Moore.
I am so ready and so looking forward to it!
i am also bowing out of MOPS this year. i really enjoyed my time with my local MOPS group. i have been going to MOPS for about 5 years now. i was the craft leader for two. i think now is the perfect time to let someone else step up to lead crafts. even though i will miss going to MOPS, i will stay on as Community Networker for the Albany-Hudson Valley and Central NY MOPS groups for at least another year.
we opted out of fall sports this year, and it's taken a tremendous burden off of us financially and time-wise. however, Hank insists that the boys take a self-defense class, so we enrolled them in Aikido. it's less than a five minute drive from our house.
Aikido is a defensive, non-competitive martial art. the classes will be two nights a week. but the cost is a whole lot less than soccer! it will teach them defensive moves, using minimal force. i like that.
also, this particular dojo does not instill the eastern teachings, which i like even more :)
i'm also looking forward to the fall! i love the fall...my favorite time of year!
cannot wait to go apple and pumpkin picking! cider donuts....hmmmm. don't think i'll be partaking in those this season.
and just so you know, i am truly blessed with a wonderful family and a few, close, great friends!
